16 Years of ‘TILT’ at Goolugatup Heathcote

Back for it’s 16th year, is Goolugatup Heathcote’s annual site-responsive commission ‘TILT‘.

Presented by The City of Melville, ‘TILT‘ at Goolugatup Heathcote invites two artists to develop new works that reflect the history and heritage of the site.

Opening on November 30 until January 19, husband and wife duo Abdul-Rahman Abdullah and Anna Louise Richardson will explore the many threads that bind birds and humans in their new body of work, ‘SHELTER’.

The internationally renowned artists, Anna; works with charcoal as her partner, Abdul-Rahman carves intricate sculptures.

‘SHELTER’ will have the audience immersing themselves in the communal life of two endemic Australasian bird species, ‘The Silver Gull’ and ‘The Welcome Swallow’.

Abdul-Rahman Abdullah and Anna Louise Richardson joins Danae Gibson on Artbeat ahead of the exhibition opening.
