What is Privacy?

Tuesday 7th October / posted by Chris Wheeldon

A recent report by American press agency PBS, tolds us that the US government know exactly what is going on in your life. President Obama has ordered a review of the way the NSA operate and how internet companies supply information to the government.

In Australia, Attorney General is looking to change and increase the amount of information ASIO can receive about your life. So does privacy on the internet exist and when you but your life out there can you expect any thing different.

To be truly private you would be have to have no presence on the internet, to have no presence at all beyond personal interactions. We, for the most part know this. But how safe is the information you supply?

In the first of an ongoing look into how we use and interact with social media, Youth Reporter Shannan Osrin takes a look at the otherside of social media.
