Peter says Goodbye

Monday 10th November / presented by Peter Barr

It’s a bittersweet moment for RTRFM 92.1 today as we announce the departure of Peter Barr from Breakfast with Barr.

This month marks 10 years of Breakfast with Barr and 20 years at the station for Peter – that’s a lot of early morning wake ups!

Everything must come to an end eventually though, and Pete felt that reaching this milestone was the right time to make this difficult decision.

Pete will stay on at RTRFM part-time as Talks Producer, with a new breakfast presenter on the airwaves in 2015, to be announced. The final Breakfast with Barr will take place on Friday, 19 December.

We’d like to thank Pete for 10 years of fantastic breakfast radio and for being such a wonderful representative for the station – and for his significant contribution to the local media and music industry.

We’d also like to congratulate him on his Media Award win at the WAM awards on Friday night – a well deserved win, and a wonderful way to end his breakfast presenting marathon!
