A.B. Original Win Australian Music Prize

Monday 20th March / presented by Caitlin Nienaber

Hip-hop outfit A.B. Original have won the 12th annual Australian Music Prize for their provocative and bold album Reclaim Australia.

Starting out as a one-off collaboration between Indigenous hip-hop artists Briggs and Trials, the duo managed to edge out fellow shortlisted artists including Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds and Camp Cope to win one of the highest honours in Australian music.

Caitlin Nienaber, who is one of 16 judges on the AMP panel, caught up with the pair a week after their win and asked how the news was sinking in.
