A Mysterious Road

Tuesday 22nd October / presented by Daniel Cleary

Ivan Sen’s new Australian film Mystery Road has hit cinemas, and stars Aaron Pederson as cowboy detective Jay Swan.

Recently returned to his hometown, Jay’s tasked with solving the murder of a young indigenous girl.

Having played a bunch of TV cops on shows like On the Wildside, Water Rats and City Homicide, Pederson is certainly familiar with this kind of role.

But with Director Ivan Sen at the helm, Mystery Road doesn’t follow the path paved by similar movies before it, culminating with a shocking shoot-out, and ending on a haunting , ambiguous note.

Quickflix’s Simon Miraudo spoke to Pederson about playing police officers, and how racism in Australia can seem like an old friend.Play Mystery Road
