The Painkillers’ Oldest Friend – New album by Perth act

Thursday 24th May / presented by Caitlin Nienaber

The Painkillers are just about to drop their latest album, Oldest Friend.
Recent times have seen this band go from being a duo to a quartet by OG members James Baker and Joe Bludge enlisting the help of musicians Martyn P Casey and Richard Lane to add to the band's already great and grounding sound.

What's even better though is that this album comes in two parts!
The first half of Oldest Friend is compiled by a bunch new and inspired tracks made between all four artists; with the the second half consisting of a handful of original tracks by Baker and Bludge, re-recorded straight to tape by members of the band - both new and present.

Before the album launch over the weekend, Joe Bludge came into the studio during Breakfast with Caitlin to discuss these recent developments of the band and to talk all about their new album.
