A Tribute to David Bowie

Tuesday 12th January / presented by Adam Trainer Caitlin Nienaber

How do you even try to sum up a legend like David Bowie?

He gave us 25 albums as well as films, theatre, characters and performances.

But he gave us so much more than that. He embodied art, androgyny, contradiction, mystery – and even his death seemed like a work of art.

Just last week, he released a new album, Blackstar, to coincide with his 69th birthday.

Yesterday when we first heard he had been battling cancer for 18 months and had passed away, it seemed like it could all be an elaborate hoax. Unfortunately not.

Lots of us are feeling lots of things, particularly musician and RTR FM presenter Dr Adam Trainer, who loved the man and studied his work.

Adam dropped in to Breakfast with Caitlin to pay tribute to the man and his career that spanned generations.
