Abbe May is Taking Back the Word Bitch

Monday 12th December / presented by Harriet Kenny Antonino Tati

Perth born and bred, Abbe May appears to effortlessly channel a variety of musical styles.

Abbe combines the dark satire of PJ Harvey, the “come here but get the eff out of my face” of Karen O, and the esoteric wordplay of Björk all into one rock-funk-alt-pop-package.

One thing that might be holding her back is the thing that we love her most for – her ballsiness and outspoken attitude.

She chatted with Antonino on naming her latest record Bitchcraft, the marriage equality debate and sexism in the music scene.
