R is for Arthur Russell, American music extraordinaire.

S is for Sun Ra, A prolific jazz composer known for his ‘cosmic philosophy’.

T is for Talk Talk, british lads who transitioned from new wave to post rock.

U is for Ulver, A Norwegian experimental group influenced by Norwegian Folk Tales and inspired by Baroque poets.

V is for Laura Veirs, a folk-infused songwriter from America.

W is for Scott Walker, with his baritone voice and from pop ballads to the avante-garde.

X is for X, the band of Los Angeles angels who were a part of the first wave of punk, and renowned for their contribution to LA music & culture.

Y is for Yo La Tengo, masters of staying power, beautifully atmosphereic pretty melodic muisc and jams.
