Amanda Elizabeth: Shark Scientist, Conservatist and Enthusiast

Thursday 1st March / posted by Chris Wheeldon

Over the last 20 years research has recorded an increase in shark encounters between humans, including Shark population in general. But incidents related to increases like these may well be explained by factors not even remotely related to shark population after all, it seems.

Shark scientist Amanda Elizabeth has been researching sharks and shark conservation for years now, with a focus on Western Australian waters. She's dedicated her life to these ocean giants by releasing a documentary called 'Shark Wars', she's also the creator and organiser for the Fin Free Soup Project, and also most recently she was appointed the Ocean Lead title for the United Nations Association of Western Australia.
