AMRAP funding woes

Sunday 2nd December / presented by Rhian Todhunter

The Australian Music Radio Airplay Project, or Amrap, is one of the community broadcasting sector’s most successful funding programs.

The community radio initiative distributes and promotes new Australian music to community radio stations all over Australia – including RTRFM.

Because of this, Amrap is greatly responsible for the big rise in Australian music aired on radio in the last few years.

But the money that funds the project might not be around for much longer if the Federal government decides to cut its funding – something Amrap’s existence relies on.

Amrap Music Radio Airplay Project Manager, Chris Johnson joined Rhian.

Support AMRAP by letting Senator Conroy understand it’s importance. http://www.amrap.com.au/funding.html
