Anyman: The Story of Addiction

Monday 5th February / presented by Jane Hebiton

This years Fringe Festival brings Anyman; A confrontational story of addiction by Shalom House, Australia's strictest rehabilitation centre, and local company Fenceline Theatre.  Based on founder and chief executive officer Peter Lyndon-James’s book Tough Love, the play covers raw, real, and thought-provoking topics.

Mr Lyndon-James, known for his unorthodox, direct, no-nonsense approach, said he hoped the show will empower families and show them what they need to do when they find themselves dealing with a loved one in addiction. He said his main aim is to get the message out there and help as many people as he can, in whatever way that may be.

Jane Hebiton speaks to cast member and Shalom resident Peter Hempsell about his story of addiction and being a part of the production.

Anyman runs until the 16th February at Maali Mia Theatre.
