Apology Day Anniversary

Monday 15th February / posted by Chris Wheeldon

Tammy Solonec is shifting from human rights advocacy to politics, standing as the Labor candidate for Swan at this year’s Federal election.

Solonec spearheaded numerous indigenous and legal causes for Amnesty International Australia, NAIDOC Perth, and the National Congress of Australia’s First Peoples.

She’s helped shine a spotlight on Australian indigenous issues, representing the aboriginal community at the United Nations and Human Rights Commission.

Solonec joined Cam on The Mag to talk about the move to federal politics, saying sorry, and more.
