Associate Professor Milo Barham discusses new research on The Pinnacles in WA

A team of Slovenian and Australian researchers have conducted a study at the world’s largest wind blown limestone belt, The Pinnacles, here in Western Australia, and gained insight into Earth’s ancient climate and evolving landscape.

Beth Mackiewicz speaks with study co-author, Associate Professor Milo Barham of Curtin University’s School of Earth and Planetary Sciences, about the background of the study, how iron-rich nodules within the pinnacles can provide information about historical climate change, the findings of this research, and what it can tell us about the future.

Professor Barham also discusses the impact of this research on understanding contemporary climate change, and the potential for further research.
