Beauty, Power, and Importance of the Noongar Language

Every first Thursday of the month RTRFM welcomes Aboriginal educator and writer Glenys Collard to the studio to teach listeners and spread the word(s) regarding the beauty, power and importance of Noongar language. The segment this month is a focus on common words, body-parts, and numbers.

It is through this pivotal lesson of language and dialect that Glenys and the hosts of Moorditj Mag (Jim Morrison and Nick Abrahams) hope will give listeners gain a better understanding of Indigenous communities - as well as help to create more ways of having an open, honest and respectful discussion to add as contribution in the discourse of bridging gaps between the relationships of Indigenous and non-Indigenous circles...
