Behind the Scenes: ALP National Conference

Monday 27th July / presented by Chris Wheeldon

The Australian Labor Party held their 47th national conference in Melbourne over the weekend.

There, the party outlined their legislative priorities and sought to convince delegates, observers and supporters that they are a credible alternative to govern the country.

Crikey.com.au‘s William Bowe talked through some of the issues raised at the conference with The Mag‘s Chris Wheeldon, as the ALP looks to redefine itself to the Australian people after the internal turmoil of the Rudd/Gillard years.

Perth MP, Alannah MacTiernan, was one of the Labor party members present at the 2015 National ALP Conference.

Ms MacTiernan joined The Mag to give us an insider’s perspective on just what happened at the recent conference, and how the decisions made could potentially affect the people of Perth.
