Bikes on the Road

Earlier this year the tragic death of WA Triathlete Brynt McSwain sparked a motion to introduce traffic laws to keep cyclists safe.

While some believe cyclists have no place on our roads, others have used the incident to draw attention to a lack of proper cycling infrastructure for riders in and around Perth.

Should our roads be easier and safer for cyclists to navigate?

Both the City of Perth and, most parts, of the state government certainly think so.

Courtney Rawlings has taken a look at plans to revamp Perth and make it friendly and safer for cyclists.
