Kev, the Man of Many Colours

Wednesday 20th March / presented by Peter Barr

The first tune to come from the new album for Bob Evans is called ‘Don’t Wanna Grow Up Anymore’ which – given the worlds the local singer inhabits – is a sentiment open to intense scrutiny.

You see, he’s Kevin Mitchell too – the energetic and shouty front man for ARIA – nominated, WAMI – winning, chart-bothering alternative rock act Jebediah.

He also knocks around with three other fellas as a part of harmony-loving alt-country act Basement Birds.

And he’s also the suburban kid from Bull Creek with a dog and a child who digs the West Coast Eagles and serenades us gently with tunes about his life – and maybe yours.

So does he not want to grow up because he’s living the dream of a young man or because he has so much going on that he’s like to freeze time and chill?

We might get an answer this morning from Kevin Mitchell…
