It’s book Christmas!

Sally Rooney has a new novel out called Intermezzo and everyone is talking about it including Pam Boland and Danielle Raffaele for Book Club. On the local front Tim Winton just released a new book and it’s set to be a juicy read.

Then, Danielle reviews Samah Sabawi’s latest post-memory novel Cactus Pear For My Beloved which follows Samah’s family over the last 100 years from Palestine under British rule to present day Queensland. It is a charming story of love and resistance despite disposition and a quiet but firm reminder of the power of hope in these dark times.
