Cale Sexton gets Melondramatic

Cale Sexton has been quietly achieving on one of Australia's quintessential electronic music labels Butter Sessions. His debut solo album Melondrama pivots from the dance floor to home headphone listening and back again, with a collection of interesting, innovative tracks that fuse analogue electronic production with warm live instrumentation.

The result is a reflective piece of electronica that encourages listeners to slow down and spend an hour with it amidst the turbulence of life, soaking it up in one sitting as was intended.

Cale called in to have a chat to Will Backler on Wednesday Out to Lunchtalking about the etymology of the title, Cale's musical background, to potential plans to translate the release live. Will started off by asking Cale what exactly a "Melondrama" is...
