Calling It What It Really Is

Wednesday 4th November / presented by Paul Hunt

Domestic violence affects non-heterosexual relationships at alarming levels – that's what the NSW report 'Calling it what it really is' has revealed.

Being the first qualitative survey regarding this special issue, the report shows that members of LGBTIQ communities suffer emotional and verbal abuse specific to their gender identity and sexual preferences.

More than half of the respondents experienced an emotionally abusive relationship - and transgender and intersex survey participants also experienced physical or sexual abuse.

Domestic Violence NSW CEO Moo Baulch joined RTRFM's Paul Van Lieshout Hunt on The Mag during their national conference.
