Cellist on Stage – Cellist Adi Sappir & Playwright Peta Tait

Tuesday 6th December / presented by Dylan Websdane

A play new to Perth is depicting the lives of the women married to major politicians in the 40’s with a classic sonorous soundtrack to boot.

The play in question is Eleanor and Mary Alice, a story of personal meetings between Eleanor Roosevelt and Mary Alice Evatt and the lives of these two influential women, framed by politics, war, refugees, modernist art.

Peta Tait is a Professor of Theatre and Drama and, as Playwright, the brains behind the play in question.

Adi Sappir is an accomplished cellist from Melbourne and will be in Perth for a few days providing a dreamy soundtrack for the play at the Center for Photography.

They joined Dylan Websdane on The Mag.
