Community Committment

Monday 12th May / presented by Jonny Hopper

Community Radio stations are now at risk after the Commission of Audit recommended scrapping the funding for over 380 stations nationwide.

Next Tuesday, the Federal Budget may force some community radio off the air for good.

That includes stations catering to Indigenous Australians, Ethnic communities, reading services, youth and seniors communities – and may affect RTRFM.

Community Broadcasting Association of Australia President Adrian Basso is back with us, and 3CR Special Projects Coordinator Juliet Fox – to talk about saving Community Radio…

Youth Report Luke Pegrum delved deeper into what the cuts may mean for all community broadcasters.
