Community Radio Funding

Tuesday 10th May / presented by Kylie Sturgess

Unfortunately it looks like community radio stations are under threat again.

The federal budget released earlier this month contained cuts of $1.4 million in funding currently keeping community radio stations like this one across the country broadcasting on digital in five capital cities.

If we don’t get those funds reinstated, community radio will get left behind on the AM FM dial.

There are many people who are joining in on the national community radio campaign to get the funds back and ensure a digital future for radio stations like us.

One of those people is Perth lawyer and Labor Politician, Tim Hammond who joined Kylie Sturgess in the studio to talk about the cuts.
