Conditions of Growth with Thea Rossen

Created by percussionist and composer, Thea Rossen and media artist, Sohan Ariel Hayes, Conditions of Growth has students from Wesley College using flower pots as instruments.

Hosted by Ad Lib Collective, ‘Conditions of Growth’ is a new collaborative performance project with a tapestry of exquisite contemporary chamber music, sensor driven lighting and projected generative animation.

“Working with the music of Ravel and Rossen the work holds the seeds of connection to the things that need nurturing. Small tendrils of sound, granular close-ups, and full body sound experiences offer us a space to consider what the conditions are that we need to quietly grow.”

Conditions of Growth will be at Holmes à Court Gallery on September 22-23.
