Corporate Cultural Diversity

Tuesday 16th July / presented by Tom Reynolds

In 2016 the Australian Human Rights Commission released a report entitled Leading for Change: A blueprint for cultural diversity and inclusive leadership that highlighted the lack of diversity in senior leadership positions in Australian business, politics, government and universities.

The report was also supposed to act as a guide on how and why Australia can do better in representing the countries cultural diversity in these positions. Two years on the Commission  released the follow up report Leading for Change: A blueprint for cultural diversity and inclusive leadership revisited, unfortunately the results have not shown major improvement. Non-Europeans and Indigenous people remain under-represented in positions power.

Race Discrimination Commissioner Chin-Leong Tan chats with Tom Reynolds about the findings of the report, and what it means for Australia.
