Double What?

Do you know what a double dissolution is?

If not, listen up, because there’s a chance we could be heading towards one.

At the crux of it, a double dissolution is a call for a new election in order to break a legislative deadlock.

The Coalition’s thinking of calling one because it has multiple deadlocks, including the bill to abolish the Clean Energy Finance Corporation.

The move could go both ways for Liberal – they have have consistently lagged behind in the polls, after all.
