Eagles Look for New Nest

Thursday 30th June / presented by Scott Quigg

The West Coast Eagles are searching for a new training ground and they have set their eyes in a section of the Lathlain precinct, a redevelopment currently underway in the town of Victoria Park.

But the club’s proposal for the training ground has caught the eye of local residents–because it includes the clearing of over 250 mature trees.

A Victoria Park Special Council Meeting has opened to the public to consider the Eagles’ proposal.

Joining The Mag is Victoria Park Urban Tree Network Organiser Peter Melrose and Lathlain Precinct Project Manager Warren Beau to discuss the situation.
