Echolalia – Briohny’s Dark Cli-Fi Release

Briohny Doyle is an Australian author known for her novel The Island Will Sink, and the memoir Adult Fantasy. She is a lecturer in writing and literature at Deakin University and is a 2020 Fulbright Scholar. She has also performed at the Sydney Festival and Museum of Contemporary Art, Sydney.

Echolalia is her new clif-fi (climate-fiction) release exploring the dark side of human nature through the impact of climate change on the way we live. Echolalia is a dark and ominous ride through near future family life.

Briohny sat down on Artbeat to discuss her inspiration and themes of the book, her Fulbright Scholarship and the genre of cli-fi.
