Emily Bridget Taylor: Remedy
Emily Bridget Taylor is a local poet, artist, writer, and english teacher.
“Emily’s words and imagery are inspired by honey-filled days of light and love, and the dark hours between – the duality that is Life’s gift.”
Since 2021, she’s built an audience of thousands across Instagram, TikTok, and Threads, with her poetry receiving more than 300k views on TikTok alone.
In 2022, she won a position in the Four Centres Emerging Writers Program through Fremantle Press and KSP Writers’ Centre to develop a poetry manuscript.
She released ‘Remedy‘ that year, as a illustrated poetry zine that sold out internationally.
In June of 2024, ‘Remedy‘ was re-released as a full-length collection, distributing globally through Bijou Press.
‘Remedy‘ is a 134 page confessional tale told in four parts, each mending a different kind of pain. Remedy will take you by the hand through the Falling, Severing, Healing, and Resurrecting – giving you the courage to begin again.
To celebrate the launch of Emily Bridget Taylor‘s debut collection, Writing WA invites readers to an enthralling FREE matinee of gothic storytelling on July, 13 at the Theatrette & Foyer, Ground Floor of State Library of Western Australia.
Perth poet and spoken word performer, Emily Bridget Taylor joins Danae Gibson on Artbeat to sneak peek her debut book, ‘Remedy’.
