Expensive Access To Activities Holding Kids Back

RTRFM’s Taylah Strano talks with Gerry Redmond, a Professor of Business, Government and Law at Flinders University.

Research suggests that 1 in 3 children aged 3-14 from low socioeconomic suburbs are not taking part in extracurricular activities. This research also shows that the kids from these suburbs are far more likely to benefit from these activities in comparison to their high income counterparts.

Children from high income families often have many support networks to lean on as well as access to plenty of options when it comes to extracurricular activities.

Gerry Redmond gives us some insights into this issue with Taylah Strano from RTRFM.
