Fairfax Media has announced they will cut 120 jobs from the organisation across their editorial staff.

In response around 500 people walked out of newsrooms and journalists around the country sung their support.

Scott Quigg spoke with Deputy News Director for the Sydney Morning Herald, Marcus Strom, to talk about the impact of the strike and what further job cuts mean for the industry.
