Fat Freddy Drops Bays

Thursday 24th September / presented by Will Backler Caitlin Nienaber

Ask someone to name the band that defines the sound of New Zealand and chances are, they’ll say Fat Freddy’s Drop.

After starting out as a jam band in the late ’90s, they’ve conquered the world, experimented with many genres and released a handful of albums.

Their new studio record’s called Bays, named after their studio in Wellington, New Zealand.

Full Frequency’s Will Bixler got on the phone with saxophone player Scott Towers (aka Chopper Reeds).

He started by asking him about the studio itself.
