FITTER | HAPPIER: Leavers Week + Sexual Health

Thursday 16th November / presented by Chris Mason

On this week's segment of Fitter | Happier our focus was on school leavers and sexual health....so if you’re a young person, or if you’re a parent or relative of a young person, now is a great time to start that conversation with teens....

For a lot of young people leavers’ time means that special time for fun, celebration, new-found independence and a greater sense of freedom.
However, in the midst of the carefree, party atmosphere some young people may find themselves in new situations where they’re more likely to take risks and make spur of the moment decisions....that includes situations and decisions about sex.

Talking about sex can help young people feel prepared, more supported and less likely to make risky decisions on the spur of the moment.

Here to talk more about the topic is Rose Murray, who works at the City's Sexual Health Quarters
