FITTER | HAPPIER: The Truth that Surrounds Eating Disorders

Thursday 26th April / presented by Jorja Keay

Eating Disorders that either disrupt or obsess over one's appetite are considered as a serious mental health issue and illness, affecting both men and women of all ages, from all back grounds, from all cultures.Anorexia, Bulimia and even Binge-Eating Disorders are disorders that can lead to a number of significant health complications...with some cases even unfortunately resulting in death.

On today's segment of Fitter, Happier we speak to Dr. Stephanie Hill, a Senior Clinical Psychologist for The Centre for Clinical Interventions (CCI) to discuss the importance of bringing up and addressing the difficult aspects that surround the discussions of eating disorders...

*RTRFM WOULD LIKE TO NOTE that although the Centre for Clinical Interventions is aimed and  designed for those 16+ who are dealing with an eating disorder; For organisations designed to help all ages, please either contact Lifeline (13 11 14 BeyondBlue (1300 224 636) Both these organisations have Chat Support links enabled on their website's homepage). Dr. Stephanie has olso mentioned The National Eating Disorders Collaboration which can be accessed Here.*
