Folding New Faces

Thursday 22nd October / presented by Caitlin Nienaber

Pineapples, lobsters and prawns: whatever you want to call them, this week it seemed like every news website in the country was emblazoned with pictures of Australian currency.

On the surface, the images replicated our bank notes perfectly, but look a little closer and we saw the Australian icons immortalised on them were different.

Instead of old Lizzy and Banjo Patterson, it was Agro, meat pies, John Farhnam’s mullet, Cathy Freeman and even Alf from Home and Away.

The person behind the meticulous creations is Melbourne Artist Aaron Tyler and he joined Caitlin on breakfast.
