Getting Collective with PVI

Friday 14th June / presented by Tom Reynolds

Kelli McCluskey from PVI Collective joined Tom in the studio for Artbeat. With pieces like Deviator, Disobedience Rules and Black Market, the tactical media-art group is diverging to more rapid response works, dealing with current affairs.

Kelli explained what it was all about; Perth artists doing participatory work in public spaces, bringing to light social and political topics in a playful, game-centred way. She enlightened us on what PVI stands for; performance, video and intervention, which are the main elements that comprise this interactive group of events.

Having finished their regional tour, Kelli told us more about Deviation. They turned cities into playgrounds in order to reclaim public spaces, using maps and phone codes. She also talked about the upcoming events; F$%king Funding Application workshop and Kiss Club.
