Gordon Koang – UNITY Tour 2021

“Unity”, is the name of the eleventh full-length studio album produced by South-Sudan-via-Melbourne musician Gordon Koang, and his first since coming to Australia.

It is his only recorded output in a painstakingly long six years of living as an asylum seeker, mostly recorded in the last winter months of 2019, when Gordon began performing with local musicians through the Music in Exile label.

With the ‘Unity’ Album Tour being put on hold the previous year due to the emergence of COVID-19, the time has finally come for Gordon and his band to hit the road in 2021 and celebrate the record.

Although no Western Australia tour dates were set for the “Unity” release, Out To Lunch presenter Rhian Todhunter talked with Gordon earlier this week, where together they discussed the record and tour, the impact of the Coronavirus on musicians, as well as discussions surrounding Gordon’s new music in the works.
