Great Australians Taking It To The Bank

Thursday 21st May / presented by Kailyn Crabbe

Between the late 1970’s and early 1980’s a revolution of young, punk Australians were inspired to make challenging, independent music outside of the commercially driven confines of the mainstream industry.

Fast forward to 2020 and new band Great Australian Bank has followed in the DIY footsteps of it's predecessors, four Tasmanian expats based in Melbourne with a sound that could have been plucked straight out of the early Australian post-punk scene.

Lead singer Tass Coomber joined Kailyn Crabbe on Out To Lunch to chat about the release of their debut EP, the downfalls of mainstream media, and life for the band post-pandemic.
