Hemp Party

You may be thinking that the Senate election is serious stuff and certainly there’s a lot of important issues to be discussed.

But how many of you have considered re-legalising recreational cannabis?

If that isn’t your thing, you might like to consider how votes for a minority party may well influence the success of others - Fairfax Media revealed earlier this month that Labor had cut a preference deal with HEMP for the Western Australian senate election rerun.

Often a party like HEMP can exert influence through its involvement in preference swaps.

While the legalisation of marijuana is a recent vote winner for many states in the USA, could the presence of the HEMP party in the running for the WA Senate herald not only a new look at drug reform - but also how we vote altogether?
