Humans of RTRFM: Commander Kat

Thursday 27th July / posted by Caitlin Nienaber

To celebrate 40 years as a station, RTRFM is celebrating the unique members of the station (present and past) who make it what it is.

This week on Humans of RTRFM we're featuring Katrina O'mara, AKA Commander Kat.

You may remember her voice from Thursday mornings on Breakfast with Barr.

Kat started at RTRFM back in 1996 as a science communicator as well as presenting the show Transience.

We haven't had Kat on air since 2011 but she called in to Breakfast with Caitlin to chat about making mulled wine at In The Pines, Doctor Who and Perth's live music scene in the 90's.
