International Human Rights Day

Tuesday 10th December / presented by Taylah Strano

December 10th is International Human Rights Day. On this day seventy one years ago the United  Nations' General Assembly's decided to adopt a Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

In 2019 we also celebrated the 30th anniversary celebration of the Convention of the Rights of the Child. So, it only seems fitting this  Human Rights Day the theme is centred on Youth  Standing up for Human Rights. Someone who works closely with the youth in these forums is the Youth Affairs Council of WA. CEO Ross Wortham joins Breakfast.
