Is it Sacrilege?

Tuesday 18th February / presented by James Hall

If your wondering what to see at this years Perth International Arts Festival, Turner Prize-winning British artist Jeremy Deller has one option. He’s brought Stonehenge to town. Part homage, part anarchism, it’s called Sacrilege – it’s a history lesson on a bouncy castle.

Confused? Well, continuing Deller’s fascination with our reflection on the past, Sacrilege re-imagines one of the world’s most iconic prehistoric monuments as an inflatable and interactive sculpture. The sprawling, full-scale installation is part of Deller’s wish to create memorable art for the young at heart.

Perth Festival's Visual Arts Manager Margaret Moore joined James.

Chrissy Savage headed to the piece to bounce, to experience and to be part of it. While there she caught up with PIAF's Artistic Director Jonathan Holloway, who went for a bounce and James Hutchinson, Project Manager of Sacrilege.
