Jess Ribeiro’s Love-Hate Relationship

Melbourne based, singer, songwriter and musician Jess Ribiero was responsible for one of the best Australian Alt-country albums of the last few years - 2015’s Kill It Yourself. She’s just released a brand new album called LOVE HATE, a considered, critically acclaimed ode to all forms of love, that’s been years in the making.

Following an extremely busy past 12 months, including a trip to SXSW in Austin Texas last year, Ribeiro was last in Perth a couple of months ago as a surprise support for Julia Jacklin as a part of The Perth Festival. Monday Out To Lunch's Rhian Todhunter caught up with Ribeiro for the lowdown on the new record, and started off asking how the very last minute Perth Festival slot came to be...
