Kaiit’s Room

Wednesday 7th November / presented by Hyclass

Perth's own Hyclass and Cee Caton caught up with 20-year-old Kaiit as she is in the middle of her national tour of the highly anticipated Live From Her Room EP.

Born in Papua New Guinea, Kaiit moved to Australia almost 14 years ago and has been brought up listening to a range of music, including a mix of old school jazz, classical, alternative rock and the soul and RnB greats. She has created her own future-soul RnB sound, releasing music that is real, relevant and relatable. Although she's young, her enchanting vocals, punching raps and bold, eclectic style have made her one of the most exciting artists to watch this year.

The three chat about their similarities as being Island people, how the internet is changing the way in which we discover music and Kaiit's excitement to visit Perth in the coming weeks.

Kaiit is playing this Saturday November 10 at Mojos as part of her national tour and she'll be back in Perth shortly after on November 25 for the WAVY festival at Port Beach.
