Kangaroo Leather Ban

US animal welfare organisation, Center for a Humane Economy is leading the way in campaigning for a new law aimed at US congress to consider a ban on the import and sale of Kangaroo products.

New research led by the Australian National University suggests the kangaroo industry leads to better kangaroo welfare, more stable populations and improved conservation outcomes.

On the Record’s, Jeff Bullen, spoke to Australian National University Honorary Professor George Wilson about how the latest research stands against the US laws.
