Kira Molloy’s Coding Accomplishment

Thursday 18th July / presented by Jorja Keay

Computer programming has become a topic that’s regularly discussed because of coding classes being introduced in primary and high school, but what if you could use that computer science to help doctors and researchers?

Curtin University student Kira Molloy has worked with the Harry Perkins Institute to create a program help doctors identify tumors quickly and more efficiently.

For this work, Kira has been awarded the Peter Fillery Best Undergraduate Tertiary Student Project of the Year at the WAITTA INCITE Awards.

RTRFM's Fiona Bartholomaeus spoke to Kira Molloy about the program.
