Lawyer Living Large

As International Women’s Day approaches, another ten women will be included on the WA Women’s Hall of Fame.

This year’s theme is ‘Inspiring Change’, and one inspirational young woman who has been nominated is Laine McDonald.

At eighteen years old she was one of just nine youth ambassadors selected from Australia to attend the Sydney 2000 Olympics.

During that time she travelled to Cambodia and spent a year doing legal work around the issue of human trafficking.

She’s now working as a lawyer in the area of asbestos law claims and mesothelioma.

In addition, Laine’s a councillor for the city of Vincent and sits on the Beaufort Street Festival committee…
