Local feature chat: Lloyd and the Leftovers revel in the beauty of everyday life on their new EP

Boorloo-based quintet Lloyd and the Leftovers have released their debut EP In and Amongst The Mundane, a versatile five-track collection of contemporary folk that oscillates between introspective guitar ballads and foot-stomping freak-folk tunes.

Lead vocalist and songwriter, Luke Giglia shares, “This EP is a labour of love, a culmination of our collective experiences crafted in a small cottage in Donnelly River, through the middle of a cold winter… we strove to weave connections… by spinning familiar stories about the magic between everyday moments and how important the lows of life are amongst the highs.”

Ahead of the EP’s release and its launch on April 13 at Clancy’s Fish Pub Fremantle Luke joins Pam Boldan on Breakfast to chat about the In and Amongst The Mundane.
