Marcus Whale is back with ‘The Hunger’

Marcus Whale is a sucker for all things horror and campy.

The Sydney-based artist is known for his work as one half of left-field pop duo Collarbones, and the club-centric electronic project BV (alongside DJ Plead and Cassius Select) alongside his solo releases.

The Hunger is his third solo record and leans heavily into a queer-centric narrative of a vampire and his familiar, expressing notions of longing and desire through skittish and pulsating electronic beats, coming out September 3 via DERO Arcade.

RTRFM’s Kailyn Crabbe caught up with Marcus to chat about the release, the cinematic inspiration behind the record, and finding space to being creative during a pandemic.
